Quest Map question - Guild Wars Forums

Hi...I'm a newbie and a bit confused about the "Mission Map" I have just started the game and taken on a few quests. I am supposed to go to Ascalon City and find a certain person. I go to the City and when I bring up the "Mission Map" there is a little rotating green sun-like thingy. Is this the location of the person or place I am seeking for my quest? It seemed like it worked when I was in the wilderness but not in the city and everytime I head towards it...it leads me out of the city???

That's because the next step for whichever quest you have highlighted in your quest log (L) is outside the city. The revolving green star is actually on a portal.

You can get a clearer view on your Compass.

Darcy....many thanks for your help. I had another look and just realized tht there is also a green sun thingy on the compass...I just hadn't gone far enough into the city to see it...thanks for the WIKI link as well!!
